
For the famous Shakespeare & Company bookshop in Paris, I designed interior signage inspired by the epistolary world of old English letters, under the artistic direction of Pierre-Yann Laillaizon. The ligatures and bold character of the Bookman JF Pro typeface lend a strong, timeless personality, echoing the history of the venue. A logo stamp system enriches and energises the composition, creating a lively and authentic whole that perfectly extends the bookshop’s unique atmosphere.
The signage is produced using woodblock printing, allowing it to blend seamlessly into the bookshop’s interior architecture.
This design was selected, although the client wished to retain only the dark green background colour and removed the stamp for personal aesthetic reasons.
The project is currently underway; the photographs are renderings. Once the project is complete, actual photographs of the space will be added.
